Another of our popular “Have A Go” Craft days, but this time focussing on Traditional Crafts. Free to watch or small charge to have a go under the guidance of an expert.

Poetry On The Beach

Dawlish Beach. 10.30am to 12 noon. Free

Share your love of poetry by bringing your favourite poem about the Sea, Beach or Dawlish.

Morris Dancing on The Lawn

Dancing will be Black Bess Border at 12.00 and 1.00pm, Line dancing will be at 1.30 and Cats Eye Morris will be at 2pm. This is the correct order of dancing, the printed programme is incorrect. Apologies for any confusion.

Black Bess Border will dance at 12.00noon and 1.00pm

Robert Hesketh talk on Devon Festivals

Strand Community Centre 11am – 12noon plus questions. Free.

Devon’s calendar includes a rich variety of festivals, many deeply rooted in the county’s history and folklore. Back by popular demand!  Belle Voci (Tenor Matthew Wilding and Soprano Donna-Marie Broomfield nee Hughes) and friends (Simon Dunbavand – Piano & Organ), Adrian Nuttall – Trumpet and Luca Vitale – Baritone & Cello) will be bringing the Dawlish Arts Festival Week to a close with an entertaining evening of instrumental and vocal solos and duets from the world of Classical Music, Oratorio, Opera, Musical Theatre and Film.

As well as acccompanying Matt, Donna-Marie, Adrian and Luca on the piano, Cambridge University Organ Scholar Simon Dunbavand will also be accompanying them and playing solo on St Gregory’s stunning computerised 3 manual organ.
